This hasn’t been the great UNC basketball season in history, but after winning the National Title in 2009, a little dropoff is to be expected. UNC looks set for ACC tournament, beyond!

The UNC Tarheels are looking really sharp so far thsi season, and as pre-season polls showed, the team is set to have a great year on the court. We haven’t seen demand for UNC basketball tickets like this in a long time. Tyler Hansborough is looking as good as we all though he would, and even though UNC basketball hit a few stumbles along the way it seems like UNC is ready to make some big time moves.
First, UNC has to face of against Duke, Wake Forest, Miami and the rest of the ACC tournament to see what ACC college basketball team is the best of them all. That should be a really great time, and I am hoping that they will tear the competition apart. It should be pretty good practice for the NCAA basketball tournament coming up after that. I am going to be sure to buy ACC tournament tickets ASAP because I don’t want to miss a minute of the action.

And after the ACC tourney, its on to the NCAA Men’s basketball Tournament for what promises to be as intense a March Madness tournament as we’ve ever seen. Well, the UNC Tarheels have not been as completely dominant as we though they would…. YET. They have taken a bit longer than anticipated to play to the level they are capable of, but I think the adversity has actually really helped the team and they are know a stronger team than they were. I had UNC tickets a few times, and each time I thin the team has looked better than they did the previous game.
Well, its been a great season, don’t get me wrong, but I can’t wait for the 2009 March Madness tournament to start. The Tarheels have looked really good, and I am still quite confident that they will emerge victorious. 2008 – 2009 UNC Basketball season

The 2008 – 2009 UNC Basketball season came out of the gates with fans having some high expectations. The team was the first ever to be a unanimous AP and ESPN/USA Today poll #1 team. For a team that is returning all five of tis starters, most of whom would make an impact on an NBA team immediatately, this could be the best season in what has been many great seasons.

Head Coach Roy Williams will have to put the pieces together to make sure his team does what it is supposed to. But with the players he has, that shouldn’t be a problem. Some of the players Williams has to work with include the Consensus National Player of the Year in Tyler Hansbrough, who never entered the draft last year. Hansbrough could be one of the best college basketball players ever. He has already won the Associated Press Player of the Year Award, the Oscar Robertson Trophy, the National Association of Basketball Coaches Player of the Year Award, the Sporting News Player of the Year Award, the John R. Wooden Award and the Naismith College Player of the Year Award. Joining this elite player are a few more elite players, Wayne Ellington, Danny Green and Ty Lawson, all of whom entered the draft but later withdrew. That gives UNC backetball four player that are likely NBA ready, and gives them experience, power, speed and size that no other team in college basketball can match.
